Sean Buckley Joins FierceMarkets Telecom Team

WASHINGTON, DC - July 6, 2009 - FierceMarkets (http://www.fiercemarkets.com) today announced that it has added veteran industry journalist Sean Buckley to the company’s telecom team as part of its continued expansion of editorial talent in that vertical.

Buckley, previously with Telecommunications Magazine, will serve as Senior Editor of the Wireline Group at Fierce. Buckley will write for multiple Fierce publications including FierceVoIP and FierceTelecom, develop original editorial features, and author content for the publication Web sites.

Buckley began his career with Telecommunications in 2000, where he held the positions of staff editor and later senior editor. Earlier, he worked for a telecom market research and publishing firm called Information Gatekeepers covering optical and enterprise networking technologies. In 2005, Sean left Telecommunications to cover the public sector and the wireless networking industry as an analyst at Current Analysis. He returned to the magazine in 2006 to take over as Editor-in-Chief.
