Sean Buckley is the senior editor of FierceTelecom. He joined the FierceTelecom staff in July 2009 and is responsible for covering news and trends in the wireline section of the telecom industry. Before joining the FierceTelecom staff, Sean was the Editor-in-Chief for Telecom Engine from 2006 to 2009 overseeing both the former print publication Telecommunications Magazine Americas and its transition to a web-based publication. Sean also covered the public sector IT and mobile network infrastructure trends as a senior analyst at Current Analysis. In addition to writing about wireline industry trends, Sean enjoys playing with his two sons, reading history books, watching the Celtics, and listening to Grateful Dead concerts on Sirius Satellite Radio. Daniel Frankel is the editor of FierceCable. He joined the FierceMarkets staff in May 2014 and is responsible for covering news and trends in the pay-TV section of the telecom industry. Before joining FierceMarkets’ Telecom Group, Daniel served as a senior writer for GigaOm, joining the San Francisco-based technology research and publishing company upon its acquisition of paidContent.org. In this job, Daniel covered the pay-TV industry and the migration of video services to the Internet. Daniel worked on staff at Variety for eight years, covering the home entertainment and television industries. He has also worked in corporate communications, serving clients including IMAX, Lionsgate and The Chernin Group for the boutique PR firm Principal Communications. Daniel is married with two pre-teen sons, and is an active youth sports coach, bicyclist and Mexican food consumer. He’s based near Downtown Los Angeles.

She previously was editor in chief of Wireless Week, where she held editorial positions covering everything from PCS auctions to noise-canceling techniques to base station technologies. Before covering the wireless industry, she worked at several community newspapers in the Pacific Northwest, where she honed her ability to stay awake through late-night planning commission meetings and school board sessions. Monica is based in Portland, Ore., and is on a mission to find a viable way to work from the beach.
