Understanding the integral connection between ACOs and Health IT, Meaningful Use

Pairing healthcare analytics with an interoperable infrastructure is a cornerstone of the ACO model, allowing aggregation of clinical data and access to near real-time information. And while the final rule on accountable care organizations, released in October 2011, eliminates electronic health record use as a requirement for participation in ACOs (for now, at least), the creation of ACOs will place strong reliance on EHRs and interoperable IT systems. This webinar will explore how the move toward an ACO model will further push providers to become meaningful users of EHR technology. Our panel of experts will dive into how providers will navigate both the ACO and Meaningful Use terrains; the importance of qualifying for both; practical strategies for preparing IT systems, applications, and care platforms; risks associated with sharing patient data; and more.
